KOSSA
Kossa tervitab uuest kodust!

Once we got home Kossa’s curiosity quickly overcame his anxiety and he had soon finished wandering through every nook and cranny of our humble abode. The first days were spent getting further used to the new surroundings and its earlier occupants, while the new year also saw Kossa’s first foray out of the apartment for a family visit to Sanna’s parents nearby and, most exciting of all, his first feline encounter since leaving Estonia, namely Alma, the four-year-old lady (and an animal shelter adoptee herself) residing at the family home. The meeting went along pleasantly with Kossa’s enthusiasm at times overwhelming the prudent Alma and eventually, after a full evening of roaming around and having fun, we had a hard time convincing the kitten to leave with so many corners and undersides of beds and cabinets left unexplored in the house!
Kossa does appreciate a good rest and often crawls onto the lap of either of us for a some guaranteed scratching and petting, but it’s the playful side of Kossa that pictures really have a hard time doing justice to. This holds true especially when the ”Kossa Show” really gets going and catching him in front of the camera becomes all but impossible! He’s always down for some play time with the master and mistress with the current favourite being a catch-a-piece-of-yarn type of game of which we managed to get some fresh action shots at the time of writing! Most of the time though Kossa is busy entertaining himself and you’ll be able to get a faint idea of this in one of the pictures where Kossa poses beside one of his many identical toy mouse playmates (they have a tendency of ending up under the sofa, out of reach of both Kossa and ourselves, so we decided to buy some extra) between sessions of frantic chase games sending him flying around the apartment, climbing over and diving under obstacles of sofas and armchairs.
As far as the two legged side of our companionship is concerned, thankfully, things are gradually getting better. That is to say we have both been able to get well acquainted with our new furry friend and can’t help being swept away by the friendly and cheerful little kitty that Kossa is!
