You have only just come into our lives.

An unfortunate street cat who almost ran into our volunteer himself… Last autumn you were found with your sons in Tura. The kittens were rescued by another association, but you… Somehow you remained on the street. As if you weren’t worth saving, because you’re no longer the cute little one with the queue at the door.

But our volunteer noticed you and gave you a helping hand when he heard you were still wandering the streets.

You were tiny, fragile, tender and very gentle. We could only imagine what they had experienced on the street and how they had lived. How many fears had been thrown your way.

They quietly adapted to our cat room until…

Something had changed. You didn’t want to eat, you ran away, you had started to lose weight.

At the animal clinic we could not get a definite diagnosis. So many different indicators were out of place, and with each passing day the health was getting worse and worse, until yesterday you even needed the doctors’ help to blink your eyes….

It was time to make the hardest decision of all.

A decision that will tear our hearts out, but that will set you free. The freedom to fly high, to wander through the green meadows of the honeydew and chase butterflies… The freedom to enjoy being, to forget pain and disappointment.

Oh, Willow. How we wish things were different. That you were still here.

Yes, there is a great emptiness in our souls, but there is no great hole in our hearts, because… Because You live in our hearts forever, dear Willow! Whether you are with us or far away in the land of kittens, you will always have a very special place in our hearts and you will never leave. Love will remain even when earthly life is over and oh Willow, how we love you!
