A kitten with an injured tail came into our care in the summer and needed urgent help. Unfortunately, his tail was so badly damaged that it had to be amputated. We hoped that would be the end of it, but just as we were starting to look for a home for him, we received a message from the vet – Präänik has diabetes.

Our hearts broke into a thousand pieces for her, because, as you know, it is extremely difficult to find a home for a diabetic cat. Not to mention a forever home. Yet Präänik is so affectionate, affectionate and sociable that he would fit into any home that values closeness and affection. Präänik would also like to belong to someone’s family. To be cherished and loved.

Injecting a diabetic cat is a breeze because the needle is very thin and there is no risk of harming the cat in any way. The Praline is nicely injected while eating and the whole procedure is peaceful and supportive. We will certainly be on hand to support the new family or shelter on an ongoing basis, and the vet clinic will give Präänik’s new carer a much-needed crash course in how and what to do.
