KARLA
Additional information
FAREWELL, DEAR KARLA…
“Don’t stand on my grave and weep for me,
I’m not there I’m not sleeping soundly.
I fly with the winds in the sky,
I’m a winter’s morning grey.
In the cornfield I shine like the sun in summer,
I’ll come to you in autumn as rain.
When you wake up in the morning and see birds in the sky,
you can be pretty sure by looking at them,
that I’ll be there singing with them,
but at night I become a star.
Don’t stand on my grave and be sad,
I’m not there, it wasn’t my death.”
After a serious kidney disease, we were born to say goodbye to our beloved Karla. When we reached out to him 2 years ago, we soon learned that the kitten was suffering from various health problems. The future was uncertain, the prognosis was not good….
In the cat room, Karla would have died out because it is not the right place for a sick cat. We were racing against the clock to buy Karla more time. But Karla had plans of her own… She had quietly tied her tail around Vyacheslav’s heart and soon Vyacheslav decided to offer Karla a home.
We won.
Karla won.
We bought more time.
But in the last few weeks, Karla showed that the time he had won was running out. He couldn’t take it anymore. His kidneys were completely failing and the doctors advised Karla to go to sleep.
In the arms of her best friend, Karla slipped into her final dream…
Farewell, dear Karla.
We will never forget you.
