Growler and Laur welcome home

GRUMPY BEAR AND LAUR WELCOME HOME! 🥹🤧

Our darlings Myrakaru and Laur gave us a real Christmas present and wiped the dust off the shelter a few days before Christmas. The furballs, who had made friends in the cattery, found a home together, and as the news from home shows, it was the best decision ever!

Now get comfy, grab a handkerchief and get ready for a real tear-jerker, because these two “noisy bears” are real softies at home! 🥹🥹🥹

This is how the family writes about what they do:

“The little friends have been with us for almost 2 months now and when they got home they got new names – Mürakarus became Mymmi and Laur became Pepe.

Pepe has been very brave and sociable from the start. On the very first night he was the head of the sofa. He is very curious. He really wants a cuddle and a scratch under the chin. He always hangs around us and follows us to see what we are doing.

With the sword, it’s been 1 step forward, 2 steps back. It’s only now in the last couple of weeks that he’s started to go outside during the day. Previously he could only be seen and heard at night. All household sounds were scary to him- dishwasher, robot, microwave. He spent most of his time under or between the sofa. When things were going well, he could be seen sleeping on the sauna bench. Pepe kept calling him out from under the sofa, but Mõmmi didn’t take much tow. That’s why Pepe was less visible at first, because he kept Mõmmi close for company.

In the last few weeks there has been a breakthrough – Mõmmi spends most of her time sleeping on the sofa or on the sauna couch with Pepe. He really likes to be scratched from under his tummy. When she comes out of the bedroom in the morning, she’s the first one there and wants a cuddle. He is also a big fan of consumerism. Pepe won’t say no to a can either.

Pepe was a big fatty at first, but now he’s noticeably thinner. He has discovered the toys he likes to run around with most in the early morning. We haven’t figured out if Mõmmi is playing with them yet, but there is a good fight almost every night.

In general, however, the friends are still together all the time – checking the rooms in the morning, sleeping in the sauna, sleeping on the sofa and taking turns washing each other. From time to time, both paws will shake for a moment, but the next minute they are friends again. Pepe is a very big “sticky” and Mõmmi would like to have a little “rest” from him in the meantime.

We are very happy that these characters came into our lives. At this point I would also encourage others to take such friends home with them. It would have been such a trauma for both of them if only one of them had come home. Both are very different in character, but very fierce and good cats.”

Ooh, pictures really do speak a thousand words! Not only was the story lovely, but these pictures… 🥹🤧 We are so, so happy and proud of you, our dear friends of the heart! Lots and lots of shawls for you – you know how we’d love to hug and cuddle you! 🥰
