A day to say goodbye forever.

But you can never be ready for that.

It always knocks feet off the ground and breaks hearts…

Yesterday, our dear Sparkle slipped into her final sleep between the hands of the housekeeper. Sära came into our care in August last year, when we rescued the infamous Ahtme apartment colony. How many wonderful cats came into our care from there – the well-known Chuck Nurris, Alar Kuris, Mooni, Moliere, Kissa, Habanero and many others. More than 20 cats in all, including the affectionate and shepherd-like Sparkle.

But Sparkle was different from the others… She was weak and fragile, but her character shone truly bright. After tests at the animal clinic, it turned out that Sara had a tumour in her small intestine… A malignant tumour… There was no hope….

Sära moved to live in a shelter with Nele, her first and last “home”. A place where she was loved unconditionally, pampered and cared for until… until moments together were shared.

We’re so sorry, Sparkle!

So sorry that your life was full of such difficult moments. That you were born into an apartment where you shared a home with over 20 cats without getting the right medical care in time.

But we are grateful.

Grateful that you still had the warmth of home and unconditional love. Sadly, this remains out of reach for so many homeless cats.

Sparkle, You were and… stayed! For your Sparkle will shine in our hearts forever!
