MTÜ Kasside Turvakodu is constantly caring for around 150-200 cats who need daily care, affection and quality food.

MTÜ Kasside Turvakodu is very expensive to run. It covers the rent and utilities of the premises, the food and sand for the cats, and the treatment of the cats. The cost of the initial procedures for one rescued cat (parasite treatments, chip, vaccines, passport and sterilisation) ranges from €150 to €200, depending on the sex of the cat. Often cats in our care need prolonged treatment for illnesses or viruses contracted on the streets. Treatment is often long and expensive, running into four figures. In one month, we spend up to €10 000 on renting premises, food for the cats, sand and medical expenses, depending on the season.
