Come and volunteer with us!
DEAR CAT LOVER, COME AND VOLUNTEER FOR OUR FAIRY FAMILY! ❤️
Are you a big cat lover? Looking for a change and a breath of fresh air in your life? Think you want to do something that will make a PAST change in the world? Then YOU are the one we are looking for!
Our lovely family of elves is waiting for you to join them! If you have a few hours of free time a week that you would like to spend changing the world one weed motor at a time, then you’re all set!
What help do we need?
- Help in the cat’s room – furballs need daily care and the cat’s room needs cleaning. If you could help out in the cat room once a week, our purrs are looking forward to seeing you.
- Transport assistance – cats need transport from the cattery or shelter to clinics and back. If you could help with a ride from time to time, we’re looking for you!
- Photographer – if you’re an experienced photographer who can take pictures of impermanent creatures like cats, come and photograph some of the world’s most beautiful models!
- Shelter – if you don’t have time to go to the cat room to help, why not take a cat waiting on the street to a shelter!
- Video montage – create cute videos of your kittens
- Storytellers – if you can “put the soul of cats on paper”, join our social media team!
- Handyman – help the shelter with small repairs
- Participants in the fairs
Our cashier’s office is located in the centre of Tallinn, with good public transport connections. Volunteers will help you with advice and support during the settling-in period as well as afterwards – we are like one big family, forever bonded by our love of cats.
Any help is invaluable! ❤️ All of our volunteers work with their hearts – the only reward is a grateful smile.
Join our family of volunteers and change your life forever! ❤️
Donations
The NGO Cats Shelter is constantly caring for around 150-200 cats who need daily care, affection and quality food.
The Cats Sanctuary is very expensive to run. It covers the rent and utilities of the premises, the food and sand for the cats, and the treatment of the cats. The cost of the initial procedures for one rescued cat (parasite treatments, chip, vaccines, passport and sterilisation) ranges from €150 to €200, depending on the sex of the cat. Often cats in our care need prolonged treatment for illnesses or viruses contracted on the streets. Treatment is often long and expensive, running into four figures. In one month, we spend up to €10 000 on renting premises, food for the cats, sand and medical expenses, depending on the season.
If you, dear animal lover, would like to support our activities, we are always very grateful and happy for any support and help.
Financial donations are welcome:

You can support our work with one-off donations as well as permanent donations. A donation may be a “small” contribution for one person, but it is a very big one for us. The more permanent donations, the more running costs we can cover and the more cats we can help.
Your permanent donation will help:
- Buy crisps and tinned food for cats
- Pay for the initial treatment of cats
- Enable dental surgery, ear treatment, biopsies and many other diagnostic and symptomatic treatments to help cats.
Don’t forget that small things start big! Your donation will help us help grassmakers on the streets!
We are constantly in need of resources to make the cats’ stay in the shelter as comfortable and homely as possible.
